Arion Blue in Houston, TX seeks an Expeditor to ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation for EPC and project execution strategies. You will monitor supplier progress, track purchase orders, and mitigate delays to meet critical milestones.

You will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and logistics to coordinate material readiness, resolve issues, and maintain supply chain visibility for on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas or Energy industry.
  • 2+ years of experience working on projects.
  • Some experience working in a shop environment is preferred.
  • Some college or trade school is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of recognized industry codes and standards e.g. ANSI, ASME, ISO, API, BS, etc.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills and excellent verbal/written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Review production schedules, engineering deliverables, and purchase orders to determine delivery priorities, ensuring alignment with project milestones and critical path activities.
  • Monitor supplier progress against purchase order requirements, proactively identifying potential delays and expediting critical materials to prevent impacts to project schedules.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors and suppliers to track order status, confirm fabrication and shipping schedules, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, inspection, construction, and warehouse teams to ensure material readiness supports construction sequencing and site needs.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and logistics personnel to align incoming deliveries with receiving capacity, preservation requirements, storage constraints, and site staging plans.
  • Expedite documentation requirements, including drawings, data sheets, inspection records, and shipping documentation, to ensure compliance with project and contractual requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve supply chain issues, including delays, quality discrepancies, shortages, damages, service concerns, and invoicing errors, working with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive timely resolution.
  • Track and report key expediting metrics, including delivery status, supplier performance, and inventory levels, providing regular updates to project teams and management.
  • Maintain accurate records of supplier communications, commitments, and delivery forecasts to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Support inspection and logistics coordination, including facilitating shop inspections, coordinating third‑party inspectors, and tracking shipment readiness.
  • Identify risks to material delivery and develop mitigation strategies, including alternative sourcing, schedule recovery plans, or escalation as needed.
  • Ensure all expediting activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and procurement strategies, while supporting cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers to improve responsiveness, performance, and long‑term collaboration.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve expediting processes, reporting, and supply chain efficiency to better support project execution.
  • Performs related duties, as needed.

Job Summary

The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and documentation in support of EPC and other project execution strategies. Working Conditions
  • Work is primarily conducted in an office environment but may require occasional travel to off‑site work locations.
  • Some travel to vendor or freight forwarding locations will be offered as an opportunity to expand technical knowledge.
