Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting is representing a leading mechanical contractor in the Dallas–Fort Worth area seeking Mechanical Construction Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to lead large, complex HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical projects.

The role offers a base salary of $110,000–$160,000 depending on experience, with growth opportunities and a path to senior leadership within an established organization. Expect strong client relationships and cross‑functional coordination.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of mechanical construction project management experience preferred.
  • Experience working for a mechanical contractor strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical construction means and methods.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and financial performance.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Manage project financial performance, including cost control, billing, forecasting, and change orders.
  • Coordinate with owners, General Contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project requirements.
  • Develop project execution strategies and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Manage procurement, subcontractor coordination, and material requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular project updates to clients and leadership.
  • Build and maintain strong customer and client relationships.
  • Coordinate closely with field operations to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed.
  • Review project costs, productivity, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and according to contract requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with GCs, owners, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and other project team members as appropriate.

Our client is a leading mechanical contractor seeking experienced Mechanical Construction Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to join their growing DFW operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanical construction professional looking to take on large, complex HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical projects while continuing to grow with an established organization.

The level of the position will be based on experience, project history, leadership ability, and overall fit.

Compensation
  • $110,000–$160,000 Base Salary, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.

  • Providing operational oversight across a portfolio of projects.
  • Managing overall financial performance and profitability.
  • Developing project execution and operational strategies.
  • Managing key client and GC relationships.
  • Supporting business development and securing repeat work.
  • Participating in preconstruction, estimating, and project pursuit strategies.
  • Establishing best practices and improving project delivery processes.
  • Developing future project and operational leaders.
Ideal Mechanical Construction Background

Candidates should have experience managing projects involving one or more of the following:

  • Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and/or other mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with General Contractors, owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
