Job summary

Placed is seeking a senior Project Executive to own a portfolio of commercial construction projects nationwide and to drive growth for the business. This is a senior leadership role with the opportunity to run large projects and build out an office.

You will lead multi-project delivery, build strong client relationships, and oversee contracts, billing, and financial reporting while guiding planning, scheduling, and construction management activities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• Strong technical and management ability, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven track record of building strong client relationships.
• Highly organized and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Lead construction across multiple projects delivering on design, budget, and schedule.
• Build and lead high-performing project teams with focus on safety, cost, schedule, and quality.
• Plan and hire for key office and field roles.
• Resolve issues with owners, architects/engineers, and subcontractors.
• Ensure policies and standards are followed on every job.
• Guide planning, scheduling, and construction management activities.
• Support project mobilization and demobilization.
• Oversee owner and subcontractor contracts and project billing; report financials monthly.
• Lead client pursuits, bids, and preconstruction efforts.
• Take on additional assignments from executive leadership.

About the Opportunity

Our client is a large, well-established general contractor delivering complex commercial projects nationally. They’re looking for an experienced Project Executive's to take ownership of a portfolio of projects and play a key role in growing the business. This is a senior leadership position with opportunities to run large projects and build out an office.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the overall construction effort across multiple projects, making sure each is delivered to design, on budget and on schedule.
• Drive business growth by building and leading high-performing project teams, holding them accountable for safety, cost, schedule and quality.
• Take an active role in planning and hiring for key office and field positions.
• Step in as needed to resolve issues with owners, architects/engineers and subcontractors.
• Make sure company, client and project policies and standards are followed on every job.
• Guide planning, scheduling and construction management activities.
• Support project mobilization and demobilization.
• Oversee owner and subcontractor contracts and project billing, and report monthly on project financial performance.
• Lead client pursuits, project pursuits, bids and preconstruction efforts.
• Take on additional assignments as directed by executive leadership.

What They’re Looking For

• At least 15 years of experience as a Project Manager.
• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
• Strong technical and management ability, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• A proven track record of building strong client relationships.
• Highly organized and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
