Job summary

Jamerson-Lewis Construction, Inc. is seeking a Project Executive to own multiple projects across the full lifecycle. This senior leadership role is based at our Lynchburg, VA Headquarters with regular travel to Central Virginia project sites. In-office position with high accountability and ownership.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of senior field construction experience, proven team leadership, and mastery of project management from preconstruction to closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in building sciences or construction management.
• 10+ years of field construction management at senior level including projects >$40M.
• Experience across preconstruction, field supervision, and project management.
• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel; willingness to learn Bluebeam/ProjectSight/Viewpoint.

Responsibilities

• Owns multiple projects through the full lifecycle with ultimate responsibility.
• Leads and develops project teams across sectors.
• Manages stakeholder relationships and ensures project milestones are met.

The Project Executive holds ultimate responsibility and ownership for multiple projects and/or sectors throughout the entire project lifecycle.This is a senior leadership position for a commercial construction professional with strong experience leading and developing teams.This is an in-office position in based at our Lynchburg, VA Headquarters, with regular travel to project sites in Central Virginia.

Experience, Education, & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of field construction management experience at a senior management level, including managing projects exceeding $40M.
• Demonstrated experience across preconstruction, field supervision, and project management.
• Must possess working knowledge of or a willingness to learn: Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, ProjectSight, and Viewpoint.

Working Conditions:

This is a headquarters-based executive role with frequent travel to active project sites, full time. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 25lbs, talk, hear and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others. Subject to hot, cold, humid and wet conditions depending on location.
