Job summary

Jamerson-Lewis Construction, Inc. in Lynchburg, VA seeks an experienced Project Executive to lead and own multiple projects through the lifecycle, guiding teams and coordinating stakeholders on-site.

The role is an in-office position at our Lynchburg HQ with regular travel to project sites across Central Virginia; requires 10+ years of senior construction management experience, a relevant degree, and proficiency with industry tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of field construction management at senior level; experience with projects >$40M.
• Experience across preconstruction, field supervision, and project management.
• Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, ProjectSight and Viewpoint.

The Project Executive holds ultimate responsibility and ownership for multiple projects and/or sectors throughout the entire project lifecycle.This is a senior leadership position for a commercial construction professional with strong experience leading and developing teams.This is an in-office position in based at our Lynchburg, VA Headquarters, with regular travel to project sites in Central Virginia.

Experience, Education, & Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of field construction management experience at a senior management level, including managing projects exceeding $40M.
• Demonstrated experience across preconstruction, field supervision, and project management.
• Must possess working knowledge of or a willingness to learn: Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, ProjectSight, and Viewpoint.

Working Conditions:

This is a headquarters-based executive role with frequent travel to active project sites, full time. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 25lbs, talk, hear and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others. Subject to hot, cold, humid and wet conditions depending on location.
