Job summary

Schiller in Louisville, KY is seeking two full-time estimators for its Division 8 estimating department. The role involves reviewing construction documents, preparing quotations, and presenting proposals to general contractors.

You will compile vendor quotes, verify inclusions/exclusions, and follow up post-bid to gauge award decisions. Experience with Excel and ERP systems like Comsense is preferred; strong organization and teamwork are essential.

Schiller is a premier provider of construction materials supporting Divisions 8 (Doors, Frames, Hardware), 10 (Miscellaneous Specialties), 27 (Structured Cabling), and 28 (Electronic Access Control and Video Surveillance). We are looking to fill (2) full-time positions in our Division 8 estimating department with the best candidates.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reviewing and interpreting construction documents including specifications and drawings
• Compiling information and requesting quotations from our vendor partners
• Reviewing manufacturer’s quotes for accuracy, specifically inclusions and exclusions
• Preparing professional sales quotations and presenting them to general contractors
• Following up with general contractors post-bid to determine if we will be awarded the project as well as gaining important feedback on projects we are not being awarded.

Skillset Preferences:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, & Excel)
• Highly organized
• Ability to multi-task
• Become proficient in Schiller’s ERP system – Comsense or similar industry software
• Ability to work within a team environment
