Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of professional experience or Master’s with 6 years or PhD with 4 years.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Knowledge of solid rocket motor design, development, qualification, production and sustainment or equivalent aerospace products.
• Experience using project management tools and methods.
• Prior managerial experience or lead role managing projects, resources, and teams.
• Strong organizational skills to manage work across programs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to influence leaders and drive change with limited resources.

Responsibilities

• Execute individual project engineering role in a program assignment.
• Functional people manager for mid- to senior-level project engineers.
• Partner with program chief engineers to identify work demand and staffing.
• Develop people and sustain a talent pipeline.
• Implement functional standards and team workflows; drive continuous improvement.
• Governance of digital tools and roadmaps for digital transformation.
• Support proposals, investigations and problem-solving teams.
• Other duties as assigned.
