Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced Manager Propulsion Engineering 2 to lead the Composite Rocket Motor Case Process Engineering team at Clearfield, Utah and Salt Lake City, UT. The role manages a group of 11–14 engineers and technicians, driving safety, quality and on-time delivery in development and production.

The position requires a proven leadership track record, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to mentor talent, with salary guidance and relocation

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience with a BS in STEM, or 5 years with an MS.
• Minimum of 3 years of lead, supervisory, or management experience.
• Willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience as project lead over a cross-functional team.
• Experience with RCCA methodologies / collaborative technical problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership working closely with Operations and Quality.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 11–14 process engineers and engineering technicians.
• Oversee safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives for the value streams.
• Coordinate with Design, Analysis, Quality, Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and process excellence in manufacturing of composite rocket motor cases.
• Develop, mentor, and succession plan for team members.
