Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking a Project Engineer to lead design and execution of water distribution and wastewater systems in Orlando, FL. You will own technical deliverables from concept through final design, ensuring accuracy, constructability, and compliance with standards and regulations.

The role requires a P.E. license, ABET‑accredited degree, and at least 4 years of progressive engineering experience, with strong communication and mentoring skills to guide junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive engineering experience.
• Ability to lead technical work and coordinate across disciplines.
• Strong understanding of design standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and produce complete engineering designs for water distribution and wastewater systems.
• Evaluate design alternatives balancing quality, constructability, cost, and schedule.
• Coordinate work with project managers, subconsultants, and external stakeholders.
• Review work for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Prepare and review technical reports, studies, and documents.
• Identify technical risks and support schedule and budget adherence.
