Job summary

HyperStrong in the United States is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support engineering and execution of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects nationwide. You will act as a technical interface among engineering, project management, construction, procurement, vendors, and commissioning teams.

The role covers design through commissioning, with responsibilities in coordinating design reviews, RFIs, submittals, QA/QC, and field engineering support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or related field).
• 3+ years of Project Engineering or related experience in the United States.
• Experience supporting large energy, power, or EPC projects.
• Ability to review drawings, specs, and vendor documentation.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities for utility-scale BESS projects from design through commissioning.
• Serve as technical interface between engineering, PM, construction, procurement, and vendors.
• Review drawings, specifications, and equipment documentation for accuracy and constructability.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, design clarifications, and engineering changes.
• Support QA/QC activities and ensure compliance with standards and contracts.
• Support project scheduling and track milestones and dependencies.
• Assist with change-order evaluation and field engineering support.
• Capture lessons learned to improve engineering standards.
