Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is seeking an Associate Project Consultant to join the Materials division (EMI) in Tampa, FL. The role focuses on the repair and rehabilitation of structures, assessing materials, and supporting design and field investigations.

Ideal candidates have a materials-focused engineering background, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel in support of projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Education emphasis on materials science, material engineering, structural engineering, or engineering mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and materials engineering analysis and design tasks in steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures.
• Assist in on-site investigations to document existing conditions and determine root causes.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, reports and calculations; support proposals and client communication.
