Job summary

Prince William County Public Works, Construction, and Operations Division seeks an experienced Project Engineer to support projects county-wide. The ideal candidate has at least three years of civil engineering, project management, and surveying experience and a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited university.

The role includes assisting managers and licensed surveyors with development, staking road improvements, and as-built surveys, plus reading plans and maps.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of relevant civil engineering, project management, and surveying field experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an ABET-accredited university is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist managers, principal engineers, and licensed surveyors with project development and oversight.
• Stake out road improvements and conduct as-built surveys of stormwater basins.
• Read and interpret metes and bounds, survey plats, engineering plans, and contour maps.
