Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Project Engineer to direct design efforts for Design-only and Design-Build/EPC projects in California. You will develop discipline budgets, write man-hour budgets, and coordinate with project controls while guiding field engineering teams from home office and/or field locations.

Applicants should have a ABET-accredited engineering degree and 3 years of detailed design experience; EIT certification is preferred, and PE licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3 years of detailed engineering design experience for design-only and/or EPC projects.
• EIT certification preferred; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct discipline and overall engineering design efforts for Design-only and/or EPC projects.
• Develop discipline man-hour budgets and WBS codes.
• Draft overall engineering man-hour budgets.
• Coordinate schedule, budget and progress with project controls.
• Prepare project cost estimates and subcontract packages.
• Direct procurement and vendor expediting efforts.
• Prepare turnover and startup plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies.
