Job summary

Burns & McDonnell seeks a Life Sciences & Technology Project Manager to lead a team in the day‑to‑day management of EPC projects across pharmaceutical, biotech, animal health, and medical device industries.

You will oversee safety, quality, schedule, cost control, contracts, risk, procurement, and client relations from design through construction, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in engineering, construction management or related degree from accredited program.
• At minimum, 7 years applicable experience required, but 15 years or more preferred.
• Experience leading EPC projects in manufacturing sectors such as pharma, biotech, animal health or medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership of multi-discipline engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring safety and quality.
• Establish project teams and coordinate activities of multiple disciplines for efficient staff utilization.
• Manage project communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Lead RFP development, bid, selection, and scope of work documentation.
• Develop and monitor schedules, manage scope, and control costs.
• Serve as primary client contact for coordination, planning, budget, subcontracting, and schedule attainment.
• Oversee contracts, subcontracts, and change orders; lead risk reviews and engage Risk Department as needed.
• Manage cost forecasts, accruals, and project controls in accounting systems; track field progress.
