Job summary

RAM Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support the project manager and team with documentation, cost control, scheduling, and on-site supervision on commercial TI, healthcare, and office projects in California.

Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in commercial construction, ability to read drawings, manage multiple tasks, and experience with RFIs, submittals, and Procore; MS Project is a plus. This full-time role offers growth, a Monday–Friday schedule, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience as a Project Engineer in Commercial Construction Projects.
• Commercial TI experience required.
• OSHPD and/or Medical Office Building experience preferred.
• Ability to read drawings and understand constructability; multitask on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site management to ensure project execution success.
• Identify and mitigate potential project risks before occurrence.
• Maintain and review daily superintendent reports.
• Ensure the project plan is moving forward to meet deadlines.
• Assist PM with material procurement, tracking, RFIs, submittals, etc.
• Assist with the project bidding process.
• Process owner and subcontractors change orders.
• Set up OAC weekly meetings.
• Help train or mentor other RAM employees and lead by example.
• Continuously seek RAM Construction process improvements.

Job Description:

The ideal Project Engineer at RAM Construction will be responsible for assisting the project manager and project team with project documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. The candidate should be comfortable with multitasking and prioritizing those tasks from preconstruction through completion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with on-site management to ensure project execution success.

• Familiarity with CA labor laws and OSHA regulations.
