Job summary

RAM Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will coordinate a multi-discipline team, ensure safety, quality, schedule and budget adherence, and drive successful project outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in commercial construction, a construction-related degree or equivalent, and strong Procore/MS Office skills. This full-time role offers competitive benefits in Irvine, CA.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, print reading, contracting and management principles.
• Proficient in Procore, MS Office Suite and scheduling software.
• Experience running multiple projects within RAM Construction core markets.

Responsibilities

• Full project responsibility in all areas of construction and construction management.
• Conduct pre-construction activities including estimating, bidding, value engineering and scheduling.
• Manage project scheduling, updates and documentation.
• Ensure quality control and assurance to meet plans, codes and shop drawings.
• Handle change order estimation, tracking and commitments.
• Maintain project documentation, submittals, procurement schedules, RFIs, etc.
• Communicate openly with management and train team members.

Job Description:

A successful Project Manager at RAM Construction will provide the highest level of service and quality implementing all members of the construction team starting with preconstruction services, throughout project construction, and finishing with successful project close out.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Full project responsibility in all areas of construction and construction management.
• Must be able to perform project pre-construction activities including, estimating, bidding, value engineering and scheduling.
• Manage project scheduling, scheduling updates, schedule management and documentation.
• Responsible for project quality control and quality assurance that construction meets or exceeds the plans, specifications, codes, and approved shop drawings.
• Responsible for change order estimating, tracking and commitments.
• Project documentation, correspondence, records, paperwork, shop drawings, submittals, procurement schedule, RFI’s etc.
• Open communication with management.
• Train and develop team members for overall company growth.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience working for a commercial GC.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience Managing Projects in commercial construction.
• Have adept knowledge of all principals of construction, methods, techniques, print reading, contracting, and construction management.
• Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite, project management software (Procore), accounting cost management software (Procore), and scheduling software.
• 100% detailed/hands-on knowledge of project scope.
• Experience with running multiple projects, preferably within RAM Construction’s core markets.
• Excellent listening skills and strong communication skills.
• Ability to create and support team morale.
