Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer to manage midstream gas processing facility projects. You will oversee the project from engineering through commissioning, including scope, cost, schedule, feasibility, design, procurement and contractor coordination.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in ABET-accredited engineering and preferred Petrochemical industry experience. Travel to field locations may be up to 50% of the time in support of project execution.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Professional experience with engineering, construction and/or Project Management preferred.
• Previous Petrochemical Industry, gas processing design, fabrication and construction experience preferred.
• PSM covered assets experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of individuals/employees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages all aspects of assigned midstream gas processing facility projects through engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Vets resource estimates, schedules and environmental/health/safety impacts with affected departments.
• Prepares bid requests for material, labor and equipment and evaluates proposals.
• Leads safety meetings and supports HES goals; ensures design meets corporate engineering standards.
