Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking an engineering professional to support project management across development, justification, design, construction, and start-up in Findlay, OH and MPC locations.

You will assist with cost estimates, schedules, DSP preparation, MOC reviews, and coordination with external consultants, while upholding safety and environmental standards. A Bachelor's in Engineering is required, with 0+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• Zero (0) years or more of industry experience required.

Responsibilities

• Applies project management skills across all phases: development, justification, design, construction, and start-up.
• Supports project documentation, data gathering, and coordination tasks under supervision.
• Assists with cost estimates, schedules, and DSP preparation.
• Participates in Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Information (PSI), and mechanical integrity documentation reviews.
• Coordinates with external engineering consultants and designers to complete projects cost-effectively.
• Develops scope, cost estimates, and schedules for capital and expense projects; prepares DSPs and presents to leadership.
• Collaborates with Maintenance, Construction, and Turnaround teams to support planning and execution.
• Observes HAZOP reviews and incident investigations.
• Learns engineering codes and specifications; ensures designs meet safety, environmental, and permitting standards.
• Promotes safety awareness and takes corrective action when unsafe practices are observed.
