Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation seeks a Project Engineer to manage midstream gas processing facility projects from design through commissioning. You will oversee scope, cost, schedule, procurement and safety, reporting to the Engineering Director.

The role involves leading safety meetings, evaluating proposals, and coordinating with multiple departments. Frequent field travel is expected, up to 50% of the time, with a focus on safe, compliant execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, civil, chemical, or electrical engineering from ABET accredited institution.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with affected departments during project development to vet resource estimates, schedules and safety impacts.
• Support detailed design reviews to ensure compliance with engineering standards.
• Prepare bid requests for materials, labor and equipment and evaluate proposals.
• Lead safety discussions and participate in project safety reviews (HAZOP/PHAs/PSSRs).
