Job summary

McCormick & Company in Hunt Valley, MD is hiring a Project Engineer to lead capital and expense projects, oversee scope, cost, and schedule, and drive process improvements. You will work under the Engineering Technical Lead with cross-functional teams from engineering, operations and procurement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering and 3+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Word and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of project engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple projects from evaluation through implementation.
• Experience with developing justification, scoping, and managing capital projects to budgets and schedule.
• Contractor management experience including bidding, field installation supervision, and change order management.
• Ability to lead small and large project teams and prioritize issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering leadership to cross-functional project teams.
• Develop charter, objectives, scope, and deliverables for projects.
• Develop cost justifications, scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Manage scope, cost, and schedule during execution.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and negotiate contracts.
• Lead FAT planning, commissioning, and startup field support.
• Ensure technical deliverables meet cost and schedule requirements.
• Drive process improvements and TPM-related activities.
