Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Hunt Valley, MD, is seeking a full-time Process Control Engineer in its CPD facility. The role supports process and packaging equipment through programming, engineering, integration, and PLC/HMI development.

You will troubleshoot equipment, drive improvement projects, and contribute to TPM initiatives, with up to 10% travel and collaboration across engineering teams. A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5–10 years of plant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or higher in Electrical/Industrial/Mechatronics Engineering.
5–10 years of production/engineering in manufacturing.
Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo drives and vision systems.
Experience with equipment and packaging processes.
Strong documentation and team collaboration.
Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

Support and manage improvement projects for process and packaging equipment.
Develop and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo controllers, robotics, and vision systems.
Troubleshoot equipment and assist with plant initiatives.
Prepare technical documentation for electrical drawings and manuals.
Collaborate with plant, HQ, and corporate departments to meet objectives.
Participate in TPM Pillar teams and manage multiple priorities.
