Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Project Engineer at the Hunt Valley Plant. You will lead capital and expense projects under the Engineering Technical Lead, handling multiple projects with scope, cost, and schedule accountability.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 3+ years of project engineering experience in manufacturing, with strong Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD, and ERP familiarity. Weekend work and ~10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of project engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple projects from evaluation through implementation.
• Experience developing justification, scoping, and managing capital projects to budgets and schedule.
• Contractor management experience including scoping, bidding, supervision, and change orders.
• Ability to lead small and large project teams and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering leadership to cross-functional project team.
• Develops detailed charter and objectives for project scope.
• Writes technical specifications and standards to meet deliverables.
• Develops cost justifications, scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Writes and presents capital request documentation.
• Drives project success criteria for startup alignment.
• Manages scope, cost, and schedule during execution.
• Evaluates proposals, selects equipment, negotiates contracts, processes requisitions, reviews invoices.
• Drives value through best-cost analyses and leadership recommendations.
• Reviews drawings and technical documentation; approves changes.
• Plans FAT and leads commissioning and startup field troubleshooting.
• Identifies and resolves technical problems; communicates status organization-wide.
• Coordinates contractors and vendor reps; oversees construction management.
• Completes closeout and capitalization documentation.
• Implements IQ/OQ/PQ with project team; ensures deliverables meet requirements.
