McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Hunt Valley, MD is seeking a Project Engineer to lead and execute capital and expense projects across multiple sites. Under the Engineering Technical Lead, you will develop charters, write specifications, justify costs, and manage scope, schedule, and budgets while coordinating cross-functional teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, at least 3 years guiding projects, and experience with vendor management, SAP or ERP systems, and Lean Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 3 years of project engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing multiple projects from evaluation to implementation.
• Experience in developing justification, scoping, and managing capital projects to budgets and schedules.
• Contractor management experience including scoping, bidding, field supervision, and change orders.
• Experience leading small and large project teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, MS Project, Word, AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering leadership to the cross functional project team including internal and contractor personnel.
• Develops detailed charter and objectives for ambiguous project scopes.
• Writes technical specifications and standards.
• Develops cost justifications, scope, schedule, and budget estimates.
• Manages scope, cost, and schedule during project execution.
• Leads equipment evaluation, vendor negotiation, and contract approvals.
• Drives project start-up, FAT, installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Communicates status to stakeholders and coordinates with vendors/contractors.
