Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Colorado is seeking a Project Engineer to drive end-to-end capital and facility projects, translating program needs into scoped, scheduled deliverables and documented plans. You will connect Manufacturing Engineering, Automation & Controls, Process Engineering, Safety and external contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget outcomes.

With 3–5 years of hands-on industrial project experience, you will coordinate procurement, installation, commissioning, and site activities

Qualifications

  • Requires 3 years of experience in manufacturing project engineering or 7 years without a degree.
  • Experience translating requirements into SOWs, scopes, or plant plans.
  • Proven ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple suppliers and teams.

Responsibilities

  • Translate manufacturing and program requirements into clearly scoped Statements of Work (SOWs), defining deliverables, responsibilities, timelines, and acceptance criteria for capital, facility, and production line projects.
  • Build, maintain, and actively drive project schedules — identifying critical path activities, tracking milestones, flagging risks, and ensuring on-time delivery across concurrent manufacturing buildout projects.
  • Coordinate and oversee the installation and commissioning of manufacturing equipment, automation systems, robotic work cells, and controls infrastructure.
  • Track and manage equipment procurement, delivery, and installation status, maintaining logs and communicating with project teams.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, field crews, and internal engineering teams to ensure scope, schedule, and quality requirements are understood and met.
  • Maintain complete project documentation including SOWs, submittals, RFIs, meeting minutes, change orders, progress reports, and equipment commissioning records.
  • Support procurement and contract administration processes, reviewing bids and scopes against program requirements; contribute project controls insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Automation & Controls, Process Engineering, Safety, and Compliance to ensure manufacturing infrastructure projects meet OSHA, ITAR, and hazardous environment standards.
