Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Project Engineer in Westlake, TX to lead the administrative and technical aspects of construction projects. You will manage a team of field and cost engineers and be the main conduit between the construction manager and the team for cost, revenue, and cash flow information.

You will mentor field engineers, oversee both temporary and permanent design deliverables, ensure safety and quality, and support execution strategies. Travel to sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' work experience in construction or engineering.
• Experience managing engineers.
• Ability to travel and relocate as needed.
• Strong reading and interpretation of engineering plans and contract documents.

Responsibilities

• Manage scheduling of the project: oversee creation, maintenance, and monitoring of the schedule.
• Revenue, cost, and cash flow management: track and manage project financials.
• Engineering of temporary structures: provide technical oversight for temporary works.
• Permanent design management and quality control: coordinate design deliverables and ensure constructability.
• Project closeout: lead final documentation and approvals.
• Client relations: maintain communications with the client.
• Assist in operations planning: support execution strategies and workflows.
• Administer contracts and subcontracts: manage contract execution and changes.
• Training and development of field engineers: mentor engineers.
• Manage project progress and productivity: monitor progress and workforce productivity.
