Job summary

Kiewit in Texas is seeking a Mid Level Project Engineer for a project-based role across the South Central District, including Texas and neighboring states. You will lead a team of field and cost engineers, coordinating scheduling, budgeting and delivery.

You will act as communication bridge between construction manager and project team, focusing on financial performance and planning. The role requires on-site mobility and commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in construction management, construction engineering, or other engineering disciplines.
• 5+ years’ work experience in construction or engineering.
• 3+ years' experience managing engineers with exposure to cost control and scheduling management.
• Ability to read, analyze and identify discrepancies on engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong work ethic, initiative and commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules with input from field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Oversee project financials including revenue tracking, cost control, and cash flow forecasting.
• Lead the closeout process with punch lists and final inspections.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure compliance with specifications and client expectations.
• Serve as primary client contact and manage contractual administration.
