Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an experienced Field Engineer for its South Central District in Westlake, TX. You will contribute to planning, organizing and implementing project engineering and controls on heavy civil projects such as highways, bridges and rail, with strong emphasis on teamwork.

The role requires a BS in a construction-related field or engineering, with 2+ years of field experience, or 6+ years of related experience without a BS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction-related field or engineering, with hands-on field work.
• Experience or education equivalent: six years if no BS degree.
• Strong leadership, communication and planning skills for field operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specs for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, surveys, and daily labor process data.
• Prepare work plans, packages, and safety reviews.
• Coordinate material deliveries and schedules for jobsite teams.
• Support engineers with data for submittals and cost tracking.
• Assist in change orders, bids, and project documentation.
