Job summary

Flexfab in Hastings, MI seeks a Project Engineer to lead engineering projects through product development, from concept to launch, and to provide technical support for existing products.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–5 years of experience in product/process development, preferably in automotive. You will collaborate with manufacturing, marketing, and engineering teams, manage schedules, and oversee prototype builds and testing at our Hastings site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in product or process development; automotive experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success leading projects from concept through launch or implementation.
• Understanding of APQP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and leads engineering projects through product development processes.
• Prepares and adheres to project schedules and resolves issues to meet deadlines.
• Analyzes data and specifications to determine feasibility of proposals.
• Uses CAD/engineering tools to perform design tasks; coordinates prototype builds and testing.
• Coordinates with manufacturing, marketing, and engineering for design changes.
• Prepares product layouts, drawings, and documentation.
• Controls project expenditures within budget.
