Job summary

Maxxima seeks a Project Engineer to drive engineering project execution, team leadership, and product development across our residential and heavy‑duty transportation LED lighting and electrical product divisions.

On-site role in Hauppauge, NY, requiring coordination with global suppliers and cross-functional teams. You will lead projects, develop technical talent, and maintain ISO 9001 compliant documentation while ensuring schedules and quality goals are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of engineering experience in product development or manufacturing, with project leadership.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and overseas suppliers, preferably in the Asia-Pacific region.
• Ability to prepare project reports, communicate risks, and propose solutions.
• Reading electrical schematics and knowledge of ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept to production, managing priorities and resources.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and overseas suppliers on development, launches, and production.
• Provide regular status reports and communicate changes, risks, and timelines to stakeholders.
• Support product development, testing, and root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain ISO 9001 documentation and training records; support audits.
