Job summary

The Thrasher Group in Canton, OH is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team, focusing on land development and energy-sector infrastructure. You will contribute to residential, commercial, and industrial site development projects, while growing your technical skills under senior engineers.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 1–5 years of civil engineering experience (internships count).
• Familiarity with land development/site civil design and energy-sector projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design, analysis, and calculations for land development projects (grading, drainage, utilities, site layout).
• Support design and coordination for energy-sector infrastructure (electric, fiber, oil & gas).
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and technical reports for site development and energy clients.
• Assist with project management tasks (schedules, communications, subconsultants).
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observation as needed.
• Support permitting/submissions with state/federal agencies (E&S, stormwater).
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team across land development and energy projects.
