Job summary

The Thrasher Group North Carolina is a full-service architecture, engineering, and field services consulting firm with a proven track record of project success across the Mid-Atlantic region. Our multidisciplinary team delivers professional services to clients in five core markets: architecture, land development, water resources, transportation, and energy.

We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team, with a focus on land development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 1–5 years of civil engineering experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• Experience with land development/site civil design preferred.
• PE licensure or progress toward licensure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design, analysis, and calculations for land development projects, including grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and technical reports for site development.
• Assist with project management tasks including schedule tracking, client communications, and coordination with subconsultants and contractors.
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observation as needed.
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, architects, and surveyors across land development and energy projects.
• Contribute to the preparation of proposals and scopes of work for site clients.
