Job summary

Blach Construction Company in San Jose, CA is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer to support the project team in planning and coordinating required project documentation, while assisting the Project Manager in meeting quality, safety, schedule, and cost expectations.

The Project Engineer will work with Architects, Consultants, Subcontractors, Clients and Inspectors to resolve issues in a timely manner and provide excellent customer service to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up project documentation
• Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope
• Create Submittal Register from project specs and drawings
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and Superintendent on safety, permits, and site logistics
• Prepare and distribute bid packages
• Coordinate and lead Subcontractor pre-bid meetings and issue change orders as needed
• Process RFIs and invoices in CMiC workflow
• Take meeting minutes and maintain project records
