Job summary

Blach Construction is seeking an entry-level Project Engineer in the Monterey region to support project teams in planning and coordinating required project documentation, and to assist the Project Manager in achieving quality, safety, schedule, and cost objectives.

The role involves collaborating with Architects, Consultants, Subcontractors, Clients, and Inspectors to resolve issues promptly and provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office).
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Extreme attention to detail, highly organized.
• Proactive, takes initiative, possesses a willingness to learn and develop in their professional career.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem solver, solutions-oriented, creative.

Responsibilities

• Review project drawings and specifications to learn all aspects of the project.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to coordinate bid packages and site logistics.
• Prepare and issue Letters of Intent / Subcontract Agreements and ensure insurance/bonds are in place.
• Take meeting minutes and support project team with reports and documentation.
• Maintain project records, close-out documents, and archiving for the project.
