Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a Project Engineer Intern in Goodyear, AZ to support the Project Manager and serve as a liaison between field and office. You will help plan, execute, and finalize projects within schedule and budget.

You'll gain hands-on experience across construction phases, with mentorship from a dedicated team, exposure to change orders, procurement, and quality control, while building skills for a career in construction.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• Previous construction internship preferred.
• Highly motivated with initiative.
• Basic math skills and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
• Mindset for continuous improvement of department processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with project managers, subcontractors, engineers, and vendors to foster a team approach.
• Collaborate with the superintendent to track materials and coordinate with vendors for tracking and close-out.
