Helix Electric seeks a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager, serving as the liaison between the field and the office and helping define project objectives through planning, execution and finalization within schedule and budget.

The role emphasizes close coordination with senior management, scheduling, procurement, and contract management to ensure profitable project delivery and high-quality engineering outputs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project engineer experience in heavy commercial electrical construction.
• Understanding of electrical power engineering.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders and contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
• Demonstrated ability to closely support the running of a profitable portfolio.
• Exceptional initiative, execution, and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support senior project management and act as liaison between field and office.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, goals, procurement and contracts.
• Monitor financial forecasting and project invoicing processes.
• Mentor and develop team members; manage resources and priorities.
• Communicate risks, challenges, and successes proactively.
• Coordinate with site superintendents on installation methods and labor.
• Ensure quality control processes and on-time delivery.
• Ensure tasks meet deadlines and customer expectations.
