Job summary

Helix Electric Inc is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager on heavy commercial electrical projects. The role acts as the liaison between field and office and is responsible for defining project objectives, planning, executing and finalizing projects according to schedule and budget.

You will support scheduling goals, procurement, and contractual requirements while mentoring team members and ensuring high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project engineer experience in heavy commercial electrical construction.
• Strong scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to build relationships and support profitable projects.
• Electrical Engineering or Construction Management degrees are strongly preferred; Journeyman/Master Electrician license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support senior project management and act as liaison between field and office.
• Develop project teams while delivering on schedule, budget, and customer expectations.
• Plan, execute, and finalize projects per schedule and within budget.
• Oversee invoicing, change orders, and project review with emphasis on financial forecasting.
