Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer II to manage requirements across the product lifecycle, from concept through delivery. You will interface with internal teams and external customers to ensure successful project execution and baseline alignment.

The role requires a strong technical background, project management skills, and the ability to operate in an office or hybrid environment with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; 10+ years in engineering with 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Higher level degree may substitute for experience.
• Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practice.
• Experience in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Detailed understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration.
• Experience or certification in INCOSE standard.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, decomposition, and management of technical requirements with traceability.
• Provide authoritative technical guidance and manage the Requirements Review Board.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Serve as primary technical point of contact with customers, subcontractors, and SAOC IPTs.
• Provide status updates on maturity, compliance, risks, and verification progress.
