Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Project Engineer II to lead requirements development and engineering activities in a hybrid role spanning Dayton, OH and Plano, TX. This position supports Jama baselining, cross-functional collaboration, and verification planning within the IAS program, with occasional travel and a focus on rigorous engineering discipline.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
10+ years' engineering experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
Thorough knowledge of engineering principles and practice.
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development team.
Detailed understanding of requirements management, system design, and integration.

Responsibilities

Lead the development, decomposition, and management of technical requirements, ensuring traceability.
Support baselining in Jama with accuracy, completeness and change control.
Collaborate with Systems Engineering and cross-functional teams to clarify requirement intent.
Support verification approach to ensure testable requirements.
Provide authoritative technical guidance for requirements decisions.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for requirements activities.
Serve as the primary technical contact for requirements discussions with customers and subcontractors.
Provide status updates on maturity, compliance, risks, and verification progress.
