Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Project Engineer II - Mechanics to lead engineering projects, drive design changes, and maintain existing products. You will collaborate withQuality, Purchasing, Finance, Service and Marketing to deliver robust solutions.

You will evaluate designs, support testing, and assist in planning to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets with a hands-on, problem-solving approach. Travel 15% is required.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant working experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically ~15% per year.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Experience with design, testing, and manufacturing integration.
• Familiarity with DFMA and cost drivers in materials, labor and overhead.
• PMP/CAPM certification is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium scale engineering projects and provide support on mid-level projects under supervision.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Purchasing, Finance, Service, Marketing and others.
• Evaluate designs for materials, heat treatment and finishes; coordinate with advanced engineering teams.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and drive execution against cost, schedule, and performance targets.
• Monitor progress and report monthly status to management and project team.
• Visit manufacturing cells and suppliers to provide troubleshooting and communication.
