Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Project Engineer II to lead New Product Development initiatives with strong project management and engineering skills. You will drive projects from concept through validation, coordinating across Advanced Quality Engineering, Product Marketing, Industrial Design, Purchasing and Finance to ensure on-time, cost-conscious delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or educational equivalent.
• Preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant working experience.
• Ability to travel domestically and overseas (mainly Asia) several times a year.
• Ability to lead several simultaneous projects.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to use CAD; NX is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead small to medium scale engineering projects and provide engineering support on mid-level complexity projects.
• Work cross-functionally with Advanced Quality Engineering, Product Marketing, Industrial Design, Purchasing, Finance and others.
• Evaluate product designs relative to materials, cost and finishes.
• Assist in developing comprehensive project plans and drive project execution to meet cost, schedule, and performance targets.
• Monitor & Track project progress and provide weekly project status updates to senior management and the project team.
• Maintain regular communication with manufacturing cells and suppliers to advance product development and production readiness.
• Conduct on-site visits and troubleshooting analyses as needed.
• Request and perform tests per established procedures.
• Interpret data and make corresponding design recommendations.
