Mortenson in the United States is seeking a Project Engineer II to review, analyze, and resolve field coordination issues with project teams and participants. You will interpret plans, manage quality, permits, submittals, and contract documents while mentoring field staff.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management and at least three years of related construction experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management is required.
• Minimum of three years related construction experience.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively manage multiple tasks.
• Understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Strong teamwork, initiative, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, professional attitude and customer service skills.
• Current driver’s license.

Responsabilités

• Interpret project plans, specifications, and details for subcontractors and craft persons.
• Implement the pre-construction quality plan and manage testing and inspection processes.
• Obtain and maintain construction permits; manage fee payments and recurring expenses.
• Develop and maintain Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, and Non-Conformance Report.
• Manage, create, and distribute contract documents; establish handling procedures for electronic documents (RFIs, correspondence).
• Manage submittals: set up register, obtain customer/architect approval, prepare transmittal forms, coordinate packaging, review, and processing.
• Expedite submittals to align with project schedule; communicate submittal process details to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Integrate processes and procedures for project closeout; implement revisions and updates to as-built construction documents.
• Mentor, manage, and evaluate field engineers; determine alternative work methods as needed.
• Coordinate safety and compliance for all team members; maintain schedule and timelines.
