Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Project Engineer II to join our McAllen, TX team. You will review and resolve field coordination issues, interact with staff across levels, and support project teams with professional and confidential service.

Responsibilities include interpreting plans for subcontractors, managing quality testing, permits, and documentation, mentoring field engineers, and coordinating safety and schedules to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum of three years related construction experience.
• Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans, specifications for subcontractors.
• Implement the pre-construction quality plan and manage testing and inspections.
• Obtain and maintain construction permits and manage expenses.
• Develop and maintain Material Tracking List, Project Test and Inspection Listing, Concrete Placement Log, and Non-Conformance Report.
• Coordinate safety and compliance for all team members.
