Job summary

Mortenson is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee review, analysis, management, and resolution of field coordination issues with project team members and participants. The role offers two levels with compensation based on experience and location.

Responsibilities include interpreting plans for sub-contractors, managing RFIs and submittals, and leading a multi-disciplinary team. Benefits include medical, retirement, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil or Architectural Engineering, CM, or equivalent.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple project tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interpret project plans, specs for subcontractors and craft persons.
• Implement pre-construction quality plan and manage construction permits.
• Develop and maintain material tracking and inspection listings.
• Manage, create, and distribute contract documents, including RFIs and correspondence.
• Oversee testing and inspection processes and three-phase inspection system.
• Manage submittals and align with project schedule.
• Coordinate subcontractor details including insurance verification and final payment requests.
• Develop and distribute RFIs and Change Orders, update as-built docs.
• Build relationships across diverse backgrounds and levels; provide coaching and feedback.
