Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking a Project Engineer II in Austin, TX to support project teams in planning, scheduling, and execution of commercial construction. This role emphasizes coordination with subcontractors, suppliers, and owners to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a B.S. in construction management or related field and at least 2 years of industry experience, with OSHA 30-Hour certification and familiarity with RFIs, submittals, and punch

Qualifications

Requires a B.S. degree in CM/Engineering or related field.
2 years of construction industry experience.
OSHA 30-Hr certification required (can obtain within first year).
Experience with RFIs, submittals, and punch-lists.
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Notifies subcontractors of commencement dates; expedites deliveries to avoid delays.
Assists in estimating cost and construction time for proposed changes; supports contract updates.
Prepares and oversees preparation of submittal schedules and maintains submission logs.
Assists in compiling close-out documents, logs, and warranty information for delivery to the owner.
Supports the project manager with subcontract preparation and issue resolution.
