Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation is seeking an engineering project management professional to support development, justification, design, construction and start‑up activities in Findlay, OH. You will assist with cost estimates, schedules and DSP preparation, and coordinate with external consultants to deliver cost‑effective projects.

You will learn and apply MOC, PSI and mechanical integrity reviews while promoting safety and compliance with applicable standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required. Electrical, Civil, Mechanical or Chemical preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies project management across all phases: development, justification, design, construction and start‑up.
• Supports project documentation, data gathering and coordination tasks.
• Assists with cost estimates, schedules and DSP preparation.
• Participates in MOC, PSI and mechanical integrity reviews and learns requirements.
• Coordinates with external engineering consultants to complete projects cost‑effectively.
• Develops scope, cost estimates and schedules for capital and expense projects; prepares DSPs.
• Presents to leadership and collaborates with Maintenance, Construction and Turnaround teams.
• Observes HAZOP reviews and incident investigations; learns engineering codes and specs.
• Promotes safety awareness and corrects unsafe practices.
