Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Findlay, Ohio is seeking an engineer to support project management across development, justification, design, construction and start-up. You will coordinate with Maintenance, Construction and Turnaround teams to ensure safe, cost-effective project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
• Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies project management across all phases: development, justification, design, construction, and start-up.
• Supports cost estimates, schedules, and DSP preparation.
• Participates in MOC, PSI, and mechanical integrity documentation reviews and learns requirements.
• Coordinates with external engineering consultants and designers to complete projects and studies cost-effectively.
• Develops scope, cost estimates, and schedules for capital and expense projects; prepares DSPs and presents to leadership.
• Collaborates with stakeholders including Maintenance, Construction, and Turnaround teams to support planning and execution.
• Observes HAZOP reviews and incident investigations.
• Learns engineering codes and specifications; ensures designs meet safety, environmental, and permitting standards.
• Promotes safety awareness and takes corrective action when unsafe practices or conditions are observed.
