Mass. Electric Construction Co. is seeking a Project Engineer to support construction activities in the New York area.

You will plan, organize, and implement processes to manage project KPIs, provide project support to a PM, and lead technical staff to facilitate project management. The role requires a Bachelor’s in a construction-related field and 2+ years in construction/engineering, with strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience/education in project or field engineering.
• 2+ years’ experience in the construction or engineering field.
• Proven leadership, communication, planning, organization, delegation, teaching and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of contract plans and specifications.
• Review and resolve design/construction problems with design team and client.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and support project schedule.
• Create and manage contract execution plans.
• Provide technical support for construction, including design interpretation and constructability reviews.
• Develop, implement, and administer document control programs for on-site operation.
• Maintain project logs, submittals, and related documentation.
• Represent the company in design reviews and project meetings with contractors and clients.
• Assist in scoping work to create subcontracts and vendor purchase orders.
• Oversee master schedule updates and the contract administration team.
• Prepare monthly cost projections and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Support environmental health and safety programs at project level.
• Manage project team and drive successful contract closeout.
