Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Company, a Kiewit subsidiary, seeks a Project Engineer to support construction activities by planning, organizing, and implementing processes that manage project controls, scheduling, and communication of KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field or equivalent experience and education in project or field engineering.
• 2+ years' experience in the construction or engineering field.
• Proven leadership and management of people, plus strong communication and planning skills.
• Ability to set standards of excellence in safety, quality, and productivity.
• Strong team leadership and ability to coordinate multiple functions.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of contract plans and specifications.
• Resolve design/construction issues with design team, leadership, client, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with company and contract requirements and support project scheduling.
• Create and manage a contract execution plan.
• Provide technical support for construction including design interpretation and constructability reviews.
• Manage document control, project logs, and communications.
• Assist in subcontracts and purchase order development.
• Oversee the project master schedule and contract administration.
• Prepare monthly cost projections and quarterly cash flow projections.
• Lead safety initiatives and support environmental health programs.
• Supervise project team and manage closeout deliverables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
