Job summary

Mass. Electric Construction Company in New York seeks a Mid Level Project Engineer to support construction activities by planning, organizing, and implementing processes to manage information and KPIs.

You will assist a Project Manager on larger projects and coordinate technical and administrative staff to deliver project management services. This role requires a Bachelor’s in a construction-related field, 2+ years in construction or engineering, and proven leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in construction or engineering field.
• Proven leadership, communication, planning, and mentoring skills.
• Ability to set and maintain standards of safety, quality, productivity.
• Strong team leadership and project engineering management experience.
• Experience with project systems: AP/AR, materials control, estimating, subcontracts.

Responsibilities

• Understand contract plans and specifications.
• Resolve design/construction issues with design team and client.
• Ensure compliance with requirements and support project schedule.
• Create and manage contract execution plan.
• Provide technical support for construction methods and constructability reviews.
• Develop and administer document control for onsite operations.
• Maintain project logs and submittal tracking.
• Participate in design reviews and client meetings.
• Assist in drafting subcontracts and vendor purchase orders.
• Manage master schedule updates using scheduling software.
• Oversee contract administration and changes.
• Prepare monthly cost projections and quarterly cash flow.
• Support safety programs at project level.
• Lead project team and manage closeout plan.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
