Job summary

Kauai Mechanical is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate schedules, materials, and documentation for mechanical construction projects on Kauai. You will work with the Installations Manager, Estimator, Foremen, and project teams to keep jobs moving forward and ensure quality and timely delivery.

The role requires reading plans, managing budgets, and ensuring adherence to company standards. Strong organization and communication are essential for success in this on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; engineering/construction management is preferred but not required.
• Experience in project management, construction management, or field engineering.
• Ability to read and scale architectural and mechanical plans.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between Estimator, Department Manager, and Installations Foreman.
• Assist Estimator in reviewing plans and specifications for accurate bidding.
• Process job number requests, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders.
• Manage project documentation, materials, status monitoring, billing, and invoicing.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
